કેન્દ્રીય નાણા મંત્રી નિર્મલા સીતારામણે આજે કર્ણાટકના મહાન સંગીતકાર મુત્તુસ્વામી દીક્ષિતરની 250મી જન્મજયંતિએ 250 રુપિયાનો સિક્કો બહાર પાડ્યો હતો. આ સિક્કો spmcil.com નામની વેબસાઈટ પરથી ખરીદી શકાશે.જોકે આ સ્મારક સિક્કો છે.

Smt @nsitharaman today released a commemorative coin marking the 250th Janmotsava of Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar at @IITBHU_Varanasi, honouring the enduring legacy of one of India’s greatest composers and a pillar of Carnatic music. One of the revered members of the Carnatic Music Trinity, alongside Tyagaraja and Syama Sastri, Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar enriched Indian classical music through his mastery of ragas, Sanskrit literature and spiritual traditions. His compositions, including the Navagraha Kritis and Kamalamba Navavaranam, bring together musical excellence, literary richness and devotion. His timeless works continue to inspire generations of musicians and remain an important part of India’s rich cultural heritage. The coin will be available for purchase at https://t.co/fQOjrCtgVO. 250 રુપિયાનો સિક્કો બજારમાં આવશે કે નહીં તે અંગે સરકારે કોઈ સ્પસ્ટતા કરી નથી. જોકે આ સ્મારક સિક્કો છે. જેને વેબસાઈટ પરથી ખરીદી શકાય છે.

250 રૂપિયાના સિક્કાની શું વિશેષતા?

પ્રખ્યાત સિક્કાશાસ્ત્રી સુધીર લુણાવતના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર, આ સ્મારક સિક્કો 35 ગ્રામ વજનનો હશે. તે ચાર ધાતુઓના મિશ્રણથી બનાવવામાં આવશે, 50 ટકા ચાંદી, 40 ટકા તાંબુ, 5 ટકા નિકલ અને 5 ટકા ઝીંક. આ સિક્કો ચાર ધાતુઓમાંથી બનાવાયો છે. સિક્કામાં ચાંદી સૌથી વધુ હશે, તેની સાથે તાંબુ, નિકલ અને જસત પણ હશે. 35 ગ્રામ વજનનો આ સિક્કો મુથુસ્વામી દીક્ષિતરની 250મી જન્મજયંતિની ઉજવણી માટે બહાર પાડવામાં આવ્યો છે.
