નેશનલ / જામિયામાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓની મોટી જીત, 20 વર્ષ બાદ યોજાશે વિદ્યાર્થી સંગઠનની ચૂંટણી, ભૂખ હડતાળ સમેટાઈ

દિલ્હીની ખ્યાતનામ જામિયા મિલિયા ઇસ્લામિયા યુનિવર્સિટીમાં છેલ્લા કેટલાક દિવસોથી વિદ્યાર્થી સંગઠનની પુનઃસ્થાપનાને લઈને આંદોલન ચલાવી રહેલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓને આખરે મોટી સફળતા સાંપડી છે. વિદ્યાર્થીઓની માંગણીઓ સામે ઝૂકીને યુનિવર્સિટી વહીવટીતંત્રે વિદ્યાર્થી સંગઠનનું નવું બંધારણ તૈયાર કરવા તેમજ ચૂંટણીઓ યોજવાની સત્તાવાર જાહેરાત કરી દીધી છે.

15 મે 2027 સુધીમાં બંધારણ તૈયાર થશે

યુનિવર્સિટી વહીવટીતંત્ર દ્વારા જાહેર કરવામાં આવેલા સત્તાવાર આદેશ અનુસાર, વિદ્યાર્થી સંગઠનના નવા બંધારણની ઘડતર પ્રક્રિયા 15 મે 2027 સુધીમાં પૂરી કરી લેવામાં આવશે. ત્યારબાદ 16 જુલાઈ 2027થી શરૂ થનારા આગામી શૈક્ષણિક સત્રના પ્રથમ છ સપ્તાહની અંદર યુનિવર્સિટી કેમ્પસમાં વિદ્યાર્થી સંગઠનની ચૂંટણીઓ યોજવામાં આવશે. આ સમયરેખા મુજબ ઓગસ્ટ 2027ના અંતિમ સપ્તાહમાં મતદાન પ્રક્રિયા હાથ ધરાઈ શકે છે.

શિસ્તભંગના પગલાં અને કેમ્પસ પરના પ્રતિબંધો પાછા ખેંચાયા

આંદોલનકારી વિદ્યાર્થીઓની તરફેણમાં નિર્ણય લેતાં યુનિવર્સિટી સંચાલકોએ એ પણ સ્પષ્ટ કર્યું છે કે વિરોધ પ્રદર્શન દરમિયાન વિદ્યાર્થીઓ સામે લેવામાં આવેલા તમામ શિસ્તભંગના આકરા પગલાં પાછા ખેંચી લેવાશે. આ સાથે જ જે વિદ્યાર્થીઓ પર કેમ્પસમાં પ્રવેશવા અંગે પ્રતિબંધ મુકાયો હતો, તે આદેશો પણ રદ કરી દેવાયા છે. વહીવટીતંત્રની આ મહત્વપૂર્ણ જાહેરાત બાદ વિદ્યાર્થીઓમાં હર્ષ અને ઉલ્લાસની લાગણી ફરી વળી હતી. સમગ્ર કેમ્પસ વિજયના નારાઓથી ગુંજી ઊઠ્યું હતું. ત્યારબાદ સંચાલકોની અપીલને માન આપીને ભૂખ હડતાળ પર બેઠેલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ પોતાના અણશનનો બંધ કરવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો હતો.

Jamia Millia Islamia University issues order accepting all three demands of the protesting students. The students' protest and hunger strike has hence been called off. 1. The approval and implementation of the Jamia Millia Islamia Students' Union Constitution shall be completed by 15th May, 2027. 2. Subsequent to the approval of the Constitution, the University shall release the notification for elections in accordance with the recommendations and guidelines of the Lyngdoh Committee. This date will be in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Lyngdoh Committee Regulations. The elections shall be conducted within 6 weeks of the start of the academic session, that is approximately within 6 weeks from 16 July 2027. 3. All ongoing show-causes notices, disciplinary actions, rustications, suspensions and campus ban orders issued in connection with participation in the protest period shall be revoked.

ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે જામિયા મિલિયા ઇસ્લામિયામાં છેલ્લા 20 વર્ષથી વિદ્યાર્થી સંગઠનની ચૂંટણીઓ યોજાઈ નથી. યુનિવર્સિટીમાં અંતિમ વખત ચૂંટણી વર્ષ 2005માં યોજાઈ હતી. માર્ચ 2006માં કેમ્પસમાં થયેલી હિંસક ઘટનાઓ બાદ વહીવટીતંત્રે વિદ્યાર્થી સંગઠન (JMISU) ને વિસર્જિત કરી દીધું હતું. હવે સતત 18 દિવસ સુધી ચાલેલા મક્કમ પ્રદર્શન બાદ વહીવટીતંત્રને સંગઠન પુનઃસ્થાપિત કરવાની ફરજ પડી છે.

He is also a friend of the Vice Chancellor of Jamia. He also had a meeting with the Vice Chancellor. After they had discussions, they agreed that the would give a specific date...Now they have agreed to every demand of the students...Jamia Millia Islamia Students' Union election are going to be held after 21 years. This is a historical win for the Jamia students and all of the alumni, faculty, administration and everyone who has been seeing this. Everyone will be so proud of this..."

106મા સ્થાપના દિવસની 'ઇન્કલાબી મેળા' તરીકે ઉજવણી

આ સફળતા એવા સમયે મળી છે જ્યારે જામિયા મિલિયા ઇસ્લામિયા પોતાનો 106મો સ્થાપના દિવસ ઉજવી રહ્યું છે. આ પ્રસંગે વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ગેટ નંબર 7 પાસે આવેલા ગુલિસ્તાન-એ-ગાલીબ સામે એકત્ર થઈને આ દિવસને 'ઇન્કલાબી મેળા' સ્વરૂપે ઉજવ્યો હતો. ભૂખ હડતાળ પર બેઠેલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ એબિન, રેહાન તેમજ અન્ય સાથીઓ જ્યારે ઉજવણીના સ્થળે પહોંચ્યા ત્યારે સમગ્ર વાતાવરણ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વકના સૂત્રોચ્ચારથી ગુંજી ઊઠ્યું હતું.

તોડફોડના કેસમાં દિલ્હી પોલીસ દ્વારા પ્રથમ FIR નોંધી તપાસ શરૂ

બીજી તરફ, કેમ્પસમાં તાજેતરમાં થયેલી તોડફોડ અને અશાંતિની ઘટનાઓ અંગે દિલ્હી પોલીસે કાનૂની કાર્યવાહી હાથ ધરી છે. યુનિવર્સિટી સંચાલકો દ્વારા દાખલ કરવામાં આવેલી ફરિયાદના આધારે દિલ્હી પોલીસે અજ્ઞાત વ્યક્તિઓ વિરુદ્ધ ગુનો નોંધીને કાયદેસર તપાસ આરંભી દીધી છે.
