સુષમા સ્વરાજના નિધન પર ટીમ ઇન્ડિયાના કેપ્ટન વિરાટ કોહલીએ દુખ વ્યકત કર્યુ. વિરાટ કોહલીએ ટ્વીટ કરતા લખ્યુ કે, ''સુષમાજીના નિધનના સમાચારથી ખૂબ જ દુખ થયુ, તેમની આત્માને શાંતિ મળે.''

ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, સુષમા સ્વરાજ લાંબા સમયથી કિડનીની સમસ્યાથી પરેશાન હતા. કેટલાક દિવસ પહેલા તેમણે કિડની ટ્રાન્સપ્લાન્ટ પણ કરાવ્યુ હતુ. મોદી સરકાર 2.0માં શામેલ ના થવાનું કારણ પણ આજ રહ્યુ હતુ. તેમણે ન તો 2019ની ચૂંટણી લડી અને ન તો કેબિનેટમાં કોઇ પણ પદ લીધું.

2019ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણી ના લડવાની જાહેરાત પર સુષમા સ્વરાજએ પ્રધાનમંત્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીના બીજા કાર્યકાળના શપથ ગ્રહણ પછી એક ભાવનાત્મક સંદેશો લખ્યો. ગત કાર્યકાળમાં 5 વર્ષ કાર્ય કરવાનો મૌકો આપવો અને સરકાર તરફથી મળેલા સન્માન માટે પ્રધાનમંત્રીનો આભાર માન્યો. ટ્વીટમાં સુષમા સ્વરાજે કહ્યુ કે, પ્રધાનમંત્રી જી, તમે મને 5 વર્ષ સુધી વ્યકિતગત રૂપથી વિદેશમંત્રીના રૂપથી આપણા દેશવાસીઓ અને પ્રવાસી ભારતીયોની સેવા કરવા માટેનો મૌકો આપ્યો.
