The race for the next POTUS is turning out to be unprecedentedly tight but the Democratic candidate might shine as the ultimate winner or so does the trends say.
The election results for the 46th president of the United States of America has been the centre of attention for the entire globe as controversial president Donald Trump is visibly struggling to keep up the electoral battle with Joe Biden even after Trump succeeds in capturing entire south and middle states including key swing states such as Texas and Florida.
The counting trend appeared to be tight from the very first day and final results still linger on a number of states. The key factor contributing to the delay in counting is believed to be the tedious counting process of postal ballots; a practice many Americans opted due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.
Team Trump is, not surprisingly, very upset with the outcomes and are constantly demanding legal steps to be taken to stop counting votes in some states and to recount votes in other. Although Michigan and Georgia legal institutions have denied filing a case based on the allegations of the current president, Georgia election authority has recently declared to recount the votes ‘just to be sure’.
Even this recount has little effect on trump’s electoral crisis as opponent Biden is search of only half a dozen electoral votes to claim the white house while Donald lags plenty of electoral votes. To match the tally with Biden, the latter must win all the remaining states; a battle trump can hardly according to current result trends.
No matter who is the winner, the superpower country is embarrassed by the current president’s desperate attempts to retain the power. Nonetheless, the results, along with the emotions of the American citizens, will soon be showcased in front of the globe.
